I believe that clients should have a clear idea of likely costs from the beginning, so wherever possible I offer fixed fees, agreed in advance. This means that you don't need to worry about picking up the phone to discuss your matter with me, and won't receive any bills that you are not expecting.
The prices shown below are starting prices, and will be applicable for straightforward Wills. Fixed fees for more complex Wills (for example those incorporating trusts, Inheritance Tax planning, care fees planning, or including additional clauses beyond the basic Will structure) will be quoted separately following an initial discussion to ascertain your requirements. I do not charge on an hourly rate basis for Wills and would always agree a fixed fee with you before starting drafting.
My fee includes: an initial meeting, relevant advice and guidance, preparation of draft Will(s) for approval, including any minor adjustments to accurately reflect your wishes, a further meeting to witness your signatures to the Will(s), storage of the original Will(s), and copies if required.

There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney - Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare. My fee includes an initial meeting, relevant advice and guidance, preparation of draft LPA(s) for approval, a further meeting to witness your signatures and to act as your Certificate Provider, liaising with your attorney(s) for their signatures (if required), arranging registration of your LPA(s) with the OPG and storage and certified copies of your LPAs.

Every deceased person's estate is different, and so there are numerous factors affecting the likely legal costs, including the nature of the assets and liabilities, complexity, the Inheritance Tax position, and whether or not there is a Will. I can simply obtain the Grant for you (based on information provided by you) leaving you to deal with the administration of the estate yourself, provide a full estate administration service, or assist with specific elements depending on your requirements.

If you are not sure what you need, or just want some advice about Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney or Trusts, without necessarily instructing me to prepare any documentation or assist further.
There may sometimes be disbursements incurred in addition, and there will also be a small ID/AML fee of £7.50 to £15 per person.
